The terpene profile features alpha-pinene contributing pine freshness, beta-caryophyllene adding spicy-woody notes, while limonene provides citrus brightness, and last but not least, beta-pinene rounds out the profile with rosemary-herbal undertones. At 2.05% total terpenes, you’re getting a concentrated flavour experience that craft cannabis enthusiasts will appreciate.
The flavour profile leans heavily into that sweet, creamy territory rather than the gassy diesel notes you might expect from an indica. It’s a dessert-like experience that actually lives up to the hype around both parent strains.
That being said, the aroma and taste profile definitely caters to a specific palate, if you’re looking for those traditional indica diesel or earthy notes, Melts might not be for you. This is firmly in candy/dessert strain territory.

Volo Melts gave me a solid soothing body high that progresses to mellow, sleepy sensations typical of indica-dominant expressions.

Bud Quality
Coming in a nice purple container, there is a lot of appeal with Volo Melts, if we are being honest, combining MAC genetics’ Instagram-worthy aesthetics with Rainbow Belts’ resinous structure.
We saw chunky buds with deep forest green coloration, purple undertones, and bright orange pistils beneath heavy trichome coverage.
Glass jar packaging also helps to prevent trichome damage and moisture loss that can degrade bud appeal and potency. This is a significant upgrade from standard plastic containers you’ll find in budget offerings.
Is Volo’s Melts Strain Strong?
At 30% THC, Volo Melts is absolutely a strong cannabis strain, there is really no way around it. This is legitimate high-potency flower that demands respect, especially from occasional consumers or those with lower tolerance.
The indica-dominant genetics mean this strength manifests as heavy body effects and sedation rather than racy cerebral high that could maybe leave you a little anxious, but don’t get it twisted, this can put you down.
For experienced users, Melts will feel appropriately strong – you’ll definitely know you’ve smoked some dank kush. For beginners or occasional users, this is potentially too strong if we are being completely honest with you. Start with one small hit and wait 20 minutes to assess effects before consuming more.

Would I Purchase This Strain Again?
In all honesty, we most likely wouldnt buy this strain again if given the chance, mainly due to the price point here. There are thousands and thousands of strains out and about in Canada these days, and simply you can get a better bang for your buck. If you have a little extra cash laying around or are a premium stoner this might be for you, but not exactly our cup of tea.
That said, the unique MAC 1 x Rainbow Belts combination isn’t exactly widely available in Canadian markets, creating genetic exclusivity that craft enthusiasts will appreciate.
