Back Forty Bush League Sour Kush Review

Bush League Sour Kush has caught my eye every here and there over the last couple of months for a number of reasons. However, it mainly has to do with its decently high THC percentage at a cost-effective price.

In this Bush League Sour Kush review I will be consuming and evaluating the Sour Kush strain. Taking a deep dive into the effects of the strain, high quality, use cases, terpenes, aroma, flavour, and much more!

Bush League Sour Kush Strain Profile

  • Percentage: 22-27%
  • Strain Type: Hybrid (Indica Dominant)
  • Terpenes: Alpha-Humulene, Beta-Caryophyllene, Myrcene, Nerolidol
  • Price: $2.55/g
  • Size: 7g
  • Flavour: Earthy and Mulchy with
  • Aroma: Fresh Pine with slight spice and citrus.

I should first start with the parent strain responsible for the Bush League Sour Kush Milled Flour. Those would be Sour Diesel and OG Kush.
Mixing these two fan favourite strains has resulted in a potent, pungent, and overall great plant.

Sour Kush Aroma and Flavour

To Jump right into the body of this strain, the flavour hits you with a strong fresh, and woody body, with the exhale offering a light spicy aftertaste

Unfortunately, although the Nerolidol is present it didn’t offer too much of the citrus taste one would expect. However, when looking at the aroma profile, all of the terpenes truly show their heads.

I really have to say, Back Forty really hit the mark on this one, this weed smells fantastic. Just make sure you keep it packaged properly, because it can make your room smell like a fresh bud.

As for the specifics, the bud before combustion can be best described as fresh. With the strong forward-facing citrusy pine smell making most of the body.

Upon smoking the Bush League Sour Kush, the spice finally shows its face, with the smoke being best described as pungent, with a woody flavour and spicy kick.

Is Bush League Sour Kush by Back Forty a Good Strain?

Back Forty Bush League Sour Kush definitely has its place, with the high-quality strain offering a number of great effects.

The bush league sour kush milled flour I personally purchased was great, the flower itself was quite moist and aromatic.

Sour Kush Effects and High

Now we come to the most important part of any good strain, the high and effects. for this Back Forty Bush League Sour Kush review I personally smoked this bud 3 times, to get a good calibration.

Nearly immediately after inhalation, you will begin to feel extremely uplifted and energetic. That feeling is quickly followed by a nice spaced-out and happy high.

I found the high to be cerebral with only the latter portion of the experience offering any sedated feelings

Additionally, about an hour into the experience, you will be met with some substantial munches.

To attempt to encapsulate the effects of this strain, it’s an uplifting and giggly high that closes into a soothing Indica glow.

You start with a Sativa and end with an Indica, a great 50/50.

Is Bush League Sour Kush by Back Forty a Good Value Strain?

An image of Back forty's Bush League Sour Kush packaging.

Plainly put, the Bush League Sour Kush Milled Flower offers a great bang for your buck, as far as ¼ ounces go. That is to say, you can only find it in 7g packages.

Upon purchase, I paid $24.95 not a bad price for some weed averaging around 24-25% THC

The quality of the flower was also top-notch, I personally don’t often purchase milled flower, but this was a pleasant surprise. The flower wasn’t as sticky and moist as some whole bud can be, but it by no means was dried out.

From my point of view, this is a great bud to smoke out of a bowl, or really any glass. The coarsely shredded bud doesn’t really stick together too nicely but seems perfect for a bowl.

Overall if I had to give this bud a ranking in terms of value, I would have to put it around a 7.5/10.

What is Bush League Sour Kush Good For?

Bush League Sour Kush sits at a weird spot, in between Indica’s and Sativa’s, giving this strain a myriad of uses.

As we explored above, this strain primarily offers an uplifting, happy, and playful high. As well, the de-stressing value of this plant cannot be understated.

The happy spacey feeling brought on throughout most of this experience can be great for those looking to relax without being overcome with any drowsiness.

I would personally say this Bush League Sour Kush would be best smoked with friends in a social setting. You will have a blast giggling and sharing some great introspective thoughts, as all good stoners do.

Would I purchase Back Forty’s Bush League Sour Kush Again?

Now for one of the most important questions for this strain review, would I purchase this Sour Kush again?

From my thorough analysis during this Bush League Sour Kush review, I have come to the conclusion that yes I would purchase this product again.

I have really got to say, I have been loving Back Forty’s stuff recently, these mid-tier strains are really hitting the spot.

But that’s the kicker here, this does the job amazingly at its price point. The mid-range is where I personally shop most often.

If you are a stoner looking for a deep and complex terpene profile that is organically grown, this isn’t for you. But if you are looking for some decent weed that isn’t gonna let you down, this Sour Kush has got you covered.
