Wedding Pie Strain Lineage

The Wedding Pie strain was created by crossing two unique fan-favourites, Wedding Cake and Grape Pie.

When put together, these two potent weed strains create a super unique high and terpene profile that leads to a great high and mellow flavour.

Taste and Aroma

When we first opened up the packaging for this Back Forty Wedding Pie review, we were met with a sweet, pleasant aroma.

Once lit in a joint, bong, or vaporizer, Wedding pie offers a super fruity and sweet grape flavour profile that hits the edges of your tongue. As you inhale, you will get more of that almost candy-sweet lingering on your palate.

Back 40 also hit it on the nose in terms of Wedding Pie’s aroma, with a lovely sweet and almost vanilla smell hitting your nose.

At least in terms of flavour and aroma, the limonene and linalool terpenes are really making themselves known.

Effects and High

Back Forty’s Wedding Pie offers one of the most unique highs we have experienced since picking up smoking and reviewing products. The experience begins with an almost sativa head high before it hits your body, and you feel more of a slumped Indica high.

Immediately after inhaling some wedding pie, you’ll get a nice giggly and focused head buzz that’s great for social situations. However, as time goes on, you will feel more and more sedated and relaxed until you make your way to the couch.

Once you make it to the couch or lay down, Wedding Pie’s terpenes will take you out once and for all with a huge wave of sleepiness that hits about 1.5 hours into the experience.

The effects of Wedding Pie are unique and great for anybody looking to have some fun before unwinding in the evening.

Is This a Good Value Strain?

Back 40’s Wedding Pie really stuck out amongst the crowd of weed we have smoked lately, as we found the high checked all our boxes. The bud is potent enough to get you stoned without breaking the bank, and per gram, it’s a pretty damn good deal. At $88.49/oz you could smoke comfortably for a couple of weeks without really stressing.

The only way this weed wouldn’t work for you is if you’re smoking carts or concentrates all day every day.

Bud Quality

For the price, the bud was decent – it wasn’t the most moist in the world, but at the end of the day, Back Forty is more of a bargain brand. If you get the full ounce, maybe just add your own mixture packs and give it a few days.

Is Wedding Pie a Strong Strain?

The Wedding Pie strain sits just above average in terms of potency. It’s not the most knock-your-sucks-off strain on the market, but it definitely gets you where you need to be. It takes about 1 gram of flower to really get high if you’re an experienced stoner.

At 25.7%, Wedding Pie is a decently potent weed that does its job quite well and gets you plenty high with a couple of grams of cannabis.

Would We Purchase This Strain Again?

Without a doubt, we would pick up some Back Forty Wedding Pie if we were looking for a nice hybrid strain. We really enjoyed the varied high that embodied many of the traits of both its sativa and indica roots.
