To start off our Back Forty Mandarin Cookies review, the strain is a cross of the classic Mandarin Sunset and Forum’s Cut Cookies strains. 

Both of these strains have been combined here to make a potent and enchanting strain, showcasing both a citrus and fruity flavour. Showcasing much of what you would hope to get from a fruity strain mixed with a classic cookies strain.

To dig a bit deeper into the Mandarin Cookies Flavour. The strain starts off with floral undertones, only for the tangy citrus flavour to hit you in the mouth – the citrus and orange truly take the spotlight.

We all know at this point that the smell of food or more importantly, cannabis can greatly impact the taste. With that in mind, the Mandarin Cookies aroma again hits the mark, with the orange fragrance really showing its head. 

Is Mandarin Cookies by Back Forty a Good Strain?

Now onto the part everybody is waiting for, what is the Mandarin Cookies high like? 

To answer that, I would simply say the high is uplifting and happy, with the strain lasting a strong 2 hours. 

Many other platforms also mention that it is a creative high, but I have to disagree, that’s not really in line with what I got. The great orange flavour was followed by a stress-relieving and overall elated high.

Overall, Back40 Mandarin Cookies’ effects highlighted its Sativa roots, with the strain leaning hard in that direction. 

That is all to say, Mandarin Cookies by Back Forty is a high-quality strain.

Is the Mandarine Cookies strain by Back Forty Good Value?

The Back40 mandarin cookies strain without a doubt offers a great bang for your buck, especially when looking at its high THC percentage.

I personally went out and purchased 3.5g of flower for only $16, that bud sits pretty at 26.5% THC. When looking at other strains at its price point, it’s tough to beat, plainly put.

Additionally, the overall terpene quality and bud quality of the weed was pretty good. Unfortunately, the bud itself was a bit on the dry side for me, but that’s not the end of the world.

Overall, I would give the bud, high, effects, and quality a strong 8.5 / 10. It would be higher, but again, the dry flower has to take it down a notch.

What is Back Forty’s Mandarin Cookies Good For?

As we explored above, Mandarin Cookies by Back Forty has several great effects. Such as giving an uplifting, relaxed, and overall stressless high.

As for specifically what the strain is good for, I would say it’s a great evening strain, an after-work high. You won’t get the slumped feeling many Indicas offer, but it will allow you to let go of the day’s stresses and have a good time.

It sits at a price point where it’s honestly hard to say no. The weed isn’t going to burn a hole in your pocket, and offers a quality high; what more can you ask for?
For those looking to get a more high-class weed, there definitely are strains out there with complex terpene profiles and crazy THC percentages. But for the everyday stoner, and even baby stoners, the Back40 Mandarin Cookies High will do you just fine.
