1964’s Organic Comatose strain is a hard-hitting Indica-dominant weed created by crossing OG Kush and another unknown sleepy Indica. The cross of these potent indica strains has led to a sleepy and relaxed body high.
1964 is one of my favorite companies, so I was really looking forward to this review of their Organic Comatose strain. I will be sharing my findings with you and going over the taste, aroma, effects, and uses of the Comatose strain.

Organic Comatose Strain Lineage
The Organic Comatose strain was created by crossing OG Kush and another sleepy indica, creating one of the more relaxing strains out there.
This combination has created extremely moist and sticky buds that are just as dense as you would hope for from an Indica.
Organic Comatose Taste and Aroma
When I first popped open this weed for the review, I was hit with a woody and sweet aroma right off the bat, which really made me excited for this strain.
Once lit, the aroma maintained its woody presence, but more of the citrusy, sweet smell came through.
In terms of taste, though, my review of 1964’s Organic Comatose constantly offered me a deep, earthy pine body with hints of citrus sweetness. It was super smooth to smoke, and the flavour really took it over the top. I really enjoyed this one.
Organic Comatose Effects and High
1964 gave me exactly what I was expecting with Organic Comatoses’ high; it offers an overall relaxed and sleepy experience.
When you first inhale, you will feel some mild euphoria in your head before you really feel your extremities as the world slows around you. This continues into a couch-locked sedation that will last for several hours.
It’s really hard to explain other than it was a full-body sedated buzz with waves of what I would call warmth throughout my arms and legs.

Is 1964’s Organic Comatose a Good Value Buy?
While the pre-roll I purchased had high-quality bud and really showcased just what the Organic Comatose strain has to offer, it was too overpriced.
Sitting at $10.47 per gram in pre-roll form, it’s certainly not the most expensive weed out there, but it’s not cheap. In this price range, I would prefer to stick with infused products and more specialty products. If you’re looking for a great bang for your buck strain, I would look elsewhere.
Bud Quality
1964 has always really impressed me with the quality of its bud and products, and the Organic Comatose pre-roll didn’t disappoint. The bud burned well and was moist and dense.
Is 1964’s Organic Comatose a Strong Strain?
Sitting at 24% THC, the Organic Comatose bud I smoked wasn’t the most potent thing I have ever smoked, but it did the job. It really didn’t knock me off my feet, instead offering a more mellow experience.
Don’t get me wrong, if you’re a new smoker, you will get plenty high with this pre-roll, but it’s not the strongest. Personally, I prefer 1964’s Organic Gelato #41 indica over Organic Comatose.
Would I purchase This Strain Again?
1964 really hit the nail on the head with “comatose,” as this strain really knocked me out when smoking. For this reason, I wouldn’t be entirely against buying this weed again, as long as it’s not in pre-roll form.
I would definitely purchase this strain again if it’s the bud, but I wouldn’t purchase the pre-rolls again.
If you’re really struggling to relax with anxiety or simply can’t sleep well at night, Organic Comatose is worth a shot.
